The offline files are used to write IEP present levels, vison staement and goals not connected to the network. The IEPs can be transferred to the network at a later time. Filemaker Pro is required to use the offline files. Open the downloaded file to extract the offline files to the IEP_Offline folder. Before uploading you will need to:
1. Open the IEPwriter_OL.fp5 file and enter data to be uploaded.
2. Move the offline files to the networked computer or connect the computer that contains the files to the network.
3. Log onto the network version of IEP Writer Pro
4. Enter the appropriate Record ID number for the student. This student must exist on the server to obtain the Record ID. The Record ID number can be found on the front page or on the list in the IEP program.
5. Click the appropriate Upload button.
6. During the upload process, you might be prompted to locate the IEPgoals_OL.fp5 files. If this occurs navigate to the location of this file, click on the file name and click open.
7. If a goal does not upload properly, you can select Reset Upload to allow this goal to be uploaded again to the server the next time the Upload Goals button is clicked. Doing this might duplicate a goal on the server. If you need to delete a duplicate goal use the Delete Goal option in the IEP program on the network.
Upload Suggestions
1. Install the offline files on to a laptop that can be connected to the school network or install the offline files to a USB flash drive. The USB flash drive will make it very easy to move the files from one computer to another.
2. If you copy the offline files to a floppy disk, the IEP_Curriculum_OL.fp5 file is to large to copy to a floppy disk. You will need to use the installation file to install this file on both computers that you will be using.
3. You can create offline IEP before the student's IEP is created on the network but before you can upload the IEP to the network you must create a new record on the network to obtain the Record ID # for the student.
4. Register the offline program with the proper district registration number to be able to print from the offline program.
